Job Title: Finance Assistant - Abingdon (Full time,  part-time can be considered) Hybrid

We are on the lookout for an experienced Finance Assistant on a FT permanent basis (PT of 30 – 37.5 hrs pw can be considered).  Working in a small friendly team you will provide proactive support to ensure that financial reporting is accurate across all business accounting activities.  You will also have responsibility for specific areas of work.  A motivated individual who can progress and expand the scope of work and the role would be ideal.

The role will be based in our modern offices in Abingdon, with the option of hybrid working.

Candidates should have:

• At least 2 years’ Purchase ledger experience gained within  an Accounts Team
• Solid experience with Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel etc.). Sage and other accounting systems’ experience preferred.
• AAT qualified or studying towards qualification
• Familiar with the concept of accruals & prepayments
• Experience with reconciling ledgers and VAT.
• A demonstrable understanding of the professional code of ethics in an accounting environment.
• An effective team player, with a positive and pro-active attitude.
