The UK team of the international QbD group is a specialist regulatory and pharmacovigilance consultancy company. Our services consist in providing consultation throughout product development, regulatory approval, market launch, and into life cycle management. We have been offering support to life science companies for 14 years. 

To further develop our current client network in the UK and abroad, we’re looking for a business development manager based in the UK. Do you have a network in the life sciences sector and do you want to help this type of clients with their complex issues? Are you a hero in defining and building strong relationships with key decision makers? Do you have experience with more complex project sales and selling high value services? Then you could be the perfect match!

 

What do we expect from you as a Business Development Manager?

  • Identifying prospects and new clients and trying to convince them of the added value of our services as a knowledge and project organization.
  • As building partnerships is in your nature, you strive for long-term relationships with customers where you try to evolve towards a more strategic sales approach.
  • As business development manager you are the first go-to person for your clients, and you’ll solve their problems with creative solutions.
  • You initiate and perform different sales actions to realize the predefined objectives.
  • You manage and establish a daily pipeline of opportunities and ensure that you are always up to date with the latest developments.
  • You are able to evaluate complex questions, divide them into manageable parts to be able to take the customer through their journey from idea to patient.
  • You expand your network in the life sciences sector by playing an active role in different networking associations.
  • In addition to an external network, you also build your internal network within the organization with QbD employees, sales colleagues, HR, marketing, Subject Matter Experts… We do sales together, with you in the lead!
  • In this function you report to the EU Sales Manager.
     

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a master’s degree in a scientific field, which you combine with at least 8 years of field experience, commercial flair and common sense.
  • The life sciences world is your passion and you’re able to talk on a more technical level as well. High level knowledge on the lifecycle of a medicinal product on clinical, quality and CQV topics is a plus. Besides that, good knowledge on regulatory standards is necessary.
  • You have a healthy dose of self-confidence. You not only know how to convey the message smoothly, but above all you listen actively to customers, partners and colleagues, showing patience and keeping an eye on long-term solutions and partnership. 
  • You feel comfortable working with different tools and systems. An accurate follow-up in the CRM system is key for you.
  • You communicate and report clearly and bring up any concerns in good time.
  • You enjoy working in an international environment.
