Rosalind Franklin Institute reaches key construction milestone

The Hub building which will house The Rosalind Franklin Institute on the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus has reached practical completion, with the construction company Mace handing legal ownership to UK Research and Innovation. The Franklin will now commence specialist scientific fit out.

The Franklin, funded through UK Research and Innovation’s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, is dedicated to creating technologies which will change the way researchers see life. These technologies will be housed in the Hub at Harwell alongside 200 researchers, including collaborators from academia and industry.

Inivata’s First Patients Tested with InVisionFirst®-Lung in EORTC Sponsored Phase II NSCLC Study

Inivata, a leader in liquid biopsy, today announces that the first patients have been tested using InVisionFirst®-Lung as part of the Phase II ALKALINE trial sponsored by the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). As part of the study Inivata’s InVisionFirst-Lung liquid biopsy will be used to test and monitor ALK positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients initiating treatment with lorlatinib, Pfizer Inc.’s third generation ALK inhibitor therapy.
