BioCluster Report '08

The OBN BioCluster Report is carried out every three years charting the progress and continued growth and development of the Oxfordshire Biotech Cluster.  The research was carried out from 2007-8 by a full-time MBA qualified Cluster Analyst, with the aim of producing a final product of similar quality to E&Y Beyond Borders.  The BioCluster Report establishes OBN's leadership as the knowledge-holder for an exhuastive database of information about the region's biotechnology and healthcare companies.

The 32 printed-page colour data-rich Executive Summary report summarises the findings of our research on the growth and develompent of the Oxford BioCluster from Q1 2005 - Q4 2007, providing compelling evidence that the Oxford BioCluster has reached critical mass. Snap shot of findings: 142 biotech & healthcare companies in Oxfordshire, nearly 40 venture-backed and 27 public-listed companies, 56 compounds in clinical development, over £460m investment since Q1 2005.

Watch a Powerpoint Presentation about the findings.

Either Download the full colour  "Executive Summary" launched at BioTrinity 2008, or the full report, "The Definitive Guide" (large file - 5MB) with all data tables and a review of over 100 companies based in the Oxford & South-East region.

The full version ("The Definitive Guide") of the report including the data tables was published by OBN on July 22nd 2008 at our "Biotech BBQ" at Milton Park.
