OBN Summer Biotech BBQ 2010  

Join us at Milton Hill House Hotel, Steventon at one of our most relaxed events of the year – the summer BBQ and networking event on 20 July 2010.

Enjoy a welcome glass of Pimms on the lawn of this elegant Georgian manor house and make use of the spacious grounds by playing a game of croquet, mini golf or start even an impromptu game of volleyball or 5-a-side football. Relax and network over delicious BBQ and salads, served in the Italian Garden with a glass (or two) of wine. Please pre-book your special dietary requirements at time of reservation.

Why not bring the family this year, as there is plenty of tranquil parkland to explore? This is an ideal setting for a relaxed and informal networking evening.

In addition, OBN are also holding a Remuneration Workshop just prior to the start of the BBQ (Free for R&D Members).

Drawing on the industry's largest salary survey, which Rod carries out with Hewitt New Bridge Street, Rod will discuss current remuneration and benefits arrangements across the spectrum from scientist to CEO, giving detail where possible. In a changing economic environment, to stay competitive and retain staff while keeping control of remuneration budgets, it is important to stay abreast of benchmarked salaries. Attending this workshop will give you an insight into recent trends in remuneration and provide an alternative route to carrying out an expensive benchmarking exercise on your own. Rod will cover salary, share options, pensions and terms and conditions.

NB: R&D companies including clinical and contract research organisations may attend this event, but no service companies may register.

OBN are also pleased to welcome the MS Therapy Centre, a charity based on Milton Park that provides therapies and support to people with MS living in and around Oxfordshire by offering complementary therapies, information and practical support.. They will be happy to discuss their work with you and hope to raise some funds from you whilst you enjoy yourselves!

Cost of Attending the BBQ

To attend the BBQ, delegates will fit into one of the following price catergories:
(a) £ Free - The first 2 Delegates from OBN Full Member and Sponsor companies.
(b) £ Free - The first delegate from OBN Associate Member companies (one free place with further delegates at £29 + VAT)
(c) Select the Standard fee if none of the above applies: £50+ VAT per person (eg. non-member)

Accompanying Family and Friends are £29+VAT with Children aged 4 - 14 years are £10+VAT. Children under 4 years come free.

Cancellation policy: In the event that you cancel your reservation one week prior to the event, full refund is available, less 25% Admin fee. Cancellation later than 1 week, no refund is available. Substitutions can be made up to 24 hours before the event.
