Challenges with Unwanted Immunogenicity in Drug Development

November's BioTuesday is sponsored by BioAnaLab, a contract analytical laboratory which specialises in the testing of biologic drugs. The company was recently acquired by Millipore, once again illustrating the value generated by the Oxford BioCluster!

Unwanted immunogenicity is a perennial problem. Much research has been devoted to avoidance or reduction and there is a great deal of discussion about how it should be measured, yet there are still no ideal solutions. The speakers are international experts and will present a synopsis of current research and thinking across the spectrum from commercial, regulatory and academic perspectives. This will be followed by a panel discussion of your questions.

Speakers:
• Robin Thorpe Head, Biotherapeutics Group, National Institute for Biological Standards and Control
• Paul Chamberlain, Member of NDA Advisory Board at NDA Regulatory Science, Principal at bioLOGICA Consulting
• Herman Waldmann, Head of Department, Professor of Pathology, Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford

Chair:
• Geoff Hale, Managing Director, BioAnaLab
