Venturefest is a free two-day conference, open to all, celebrating enterprise and innovation and promoting the commercialisation of new technology.

 OBN, as the biotech trade association for the Oxford & South-East region, is theming the life sciences showcase. In this session you will hear a review of the UK Biotech Sector, a review of the key findings on the OBN BioCluster Report covering financing, drug development and the growth of the Oxford BioCluster from 2005-8, a review of OBN's services for SME bioenterprises, topped off with company showcase presentations allowing 5 early-stage emerging biotech and healthcare enterprises to raise their company profiles with the audience.

About Oxford Biomaterials

Our mission is to establish a world wide market for devices employing our Spidrex technology. OBM is furthering this aim through licensing Spidrex products for specific applications and forming joint ventures, while continuing to develop novel Spidrex devices in-house. To date Oxford Biomaterials has spun out two companies, which are commercialising Spidrex medical devices. A third spin out, Orthox Ltd. will take forward Oxford Biomaterials orthopaedic technologies including SilkBone™: OBM's absorbable, load bearing bone graft material.
